Position: After School Club Teacher (Spanish, Music, and Art) Start Date: wc January 8, 2024 Time: Every Thursday, 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm Duration: 10 sessions (excluding half term in February) Rate: £30 per hour and a quarter

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engaging and interactive sessions in Spanish, incorporating music and art activities.

  • Foster a fun and inclusive learning environment for children aged 4 to 9.

  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with the program's goals.

  • Facilitate creative expression through music, art, and language.

Requirements:

  • Native Spanish speaker.

  • Strong background in music with the ability to introduce children to various rhythms and musical elements.

  • Experience in leading art-related activities.

  • Qualified teacher with expertise in teaching Spanish to young learners.

  • Enhanced DBS check.

  • Reside within a 30-45 minute commute of Ladbroke Grove.

PRIVATE ART TEACHER

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking passionate and creative art teachers based in London, ideally living within a 30-minute distance from our venues in Ladbroke Grove and Notting Hill. We are specifically looking for individuals who are willing to travel weekly for approximately one to two hours for private art classes, which are scheduled based on demand and availability. Additionally, we have fixed schedules for our after school art clubs, which are conducted in three different schools. The clubs run from Monday to Thursday, from 3:30-4:30pm, and the dates are confirmed for the entire year.

As an art teacher at Creativity ArtWorkshops, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our Holiday Art Camps, private art classes, after school clubs, creative birthday parties, and family events. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children of all ages, who are organized, self-motivated, and passionate about education, arts, and creativity. Holding an Enhanced DBS certificate is a prerequisite for this role.

Essential Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and living in London.

  • A degree/diploma in Fine Arts, Art GCSE at 7-9 grade, or equivalent for private art classes. For Creative Camps, backgrounds in Art/Drama or musical theater are also welcome.

  • Teaching experience with children aged 4-14.

  • Excellent communication skills and punctuality.

  • Willingness to participate in 2 non-paid trial days at one of our Art Camps to be considered for the role of an art teacher leader throughout the year.

  • Availability for an in-person interview and, if successful, non-paid practical/informal training.

  • Friendly attitude and charm.

  • Recently enhanced DBS certificate.

  • Self-employed status.

Duties:

• Commit to at least two school terms as a private art teacher for CAW art students.
• Arrive at your student's location at least 10 minutes earlier to set up for the session.
• Bring all the necessary equipment for the session, including easels, canvas or acrylic paper, art supplies, a speaker for background music, a still life display (lights, paper, and objects), a cover-table, and aprons (art bag with art supplies provided by C.A.W).
• Demonstrate art techniques in real-time, painting or drawing alongside your students, and organize customized activities.

ART ASSISTANT for Holiday Art CAMPS

Creativity ArtWorkshops is proud to offer internships at two of our locations in London:

  • St Stephens Church Hall Address: Westbourne Park Rd, London W2 5QT

  • St Helens Vicarage Address: St Helen's Gardens, London W10 6LP

These vibrant and accessible venues serve as the backdrop for our engaging art programs and activities. We invite interns to join our team at either of these locations and contribute to our Holiday Art Camps, 1:1 art classes, after-school clubs, creative birthday parties, and family events.

If you have the skills to work with kids, a background in arts or musical Theater, and a passion for art education, we encourage you to apply for our non-paid internship program. Although previous experience with children is not mandatory, being charming, lively, fun, and energetic is crucial. We value individuals who are organised, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality lessons while effectively managing classroom behavior.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS certificate and be able to travel to the North/West/Central London areas. The internship period includes the upcoming May Half Term from May 29th to June 2nd, and there will be a virtual interview prior to the start of the May Art Camp.
